I carved out a space for me, but being that I can never see myself entirely I carved it wrong. The fit wasn't snug. My shoulders couldn't relax. My head was cocked at an awkward angle. I had carved blindly without seeing the shape for what it truly was. It was not a thing that could be settled in a mold. It was not a thing to be fixed. It needed cloth and I gave it concrete. It needed consent and I gave it confinement.
