I don’t look for rocks any more. 


I don’t see stones shining in the sun.

I don’t pluck them to bring them home. 


Maybe it’s because it’s winter. 

Maybe it’s because it’s cold. 


Maybe it because you’re home 

isn’t my home anymore. 


I wonder when I’ll stop mid-step 

 to share a piece of my earth.


A small gift. 

A pebble of love. 


I wonder when I’ll look for rocks again.
